Dale...What is your kitchen like? Is it big? Do you have a table or counter in the kitchen for everyday dining? I want a big old-fashioned "country kitchen" the next time around.

Yes, it is a big kitchen and we have a large kitchen table in it and a sliding door to the sun deck.

Do you have a dining room off your kitchen? What type of cupboards do you have? Light or dark? Do you have an "island" in the center of your kitchen?

My deep fryer, I use it for french fries, and it is great for thick cut onion rings. Use Fry-Krisp batter. I want to try mushrooms next.

Not very often at all, because my wife objects to me fixing fried foods. I would fry sliced mushrooms in a skillet or a deep-fryer. I have not done it yet.

We cook a lot of things in the microwave because it's quick and handy...I'd have to say that we used our microwave most of all. How about you?

I think I use the toaster oven more. I don't really care for microwaved food. Only if there's absolutely nothing else, or to heat/prepare an ingredient for something else. For example, I will put baked potatoes in the microwave for 5 minutes or so before throwing them on the grill or in the oven, it cuts out an hour of cooking time.

Thanks for posting....We still haven't bought a toaster oven yet. Keep looking at them but can't decide which brand to buy....We use our electric skillet and waffle iron/grill quite a bit too...
