Good that you aren't loaded up with chain restaurants like most towns...What fast-food outlets do you have in town? Do you have a bowling alley? Our bowling alley shut down. Sad...They used to serve good food.

Hi all,

I like to gamble in casinos when I can. I don't gamble that often, but when I do I enjoy playing slot machines, keno machines and sometimes video poker machines. I used to play craps, but I've never been really good at it. Smile

Ha Ha me either Jason! Those who know how to play always go too fast and I'm left a little confused. You can win or lose a lot in a hurry! I like to play video poker when I do play as I feel I have a little influence on the outcome.

We have Jack-in-the Box, Taco Bell, Burger King, 2 McDonald's (one inside of Walmart), KFC/Long John Silver, Subway, Port o Subs and Quizno's. We had an Arby's that closed last year. I'm hoping a Wendy's will move in there. The bowling alley is back open again, the current owner has sold it and then foreclosed several times, I think it's some kind of scam with him. I've heard that the people who have it now bought it outright, that would be a good thing. It has a grill that was run by a very nice filipino lady for a long time, you could get authentic lumpia and pancit in there that was very good. I'm not sure who will be in there now. And back to our topic, there is also a bar and small slot machine area where us non-bowlers hang out while our significant others or children are bowling. Really there is no need to go to a casino as such in Nevada if you want to gamble as slot machines are everywhere.

I've only tried craps one time in my whole life and I lost my $20 right away...That was it for me. I've played keno a little more. I basically only "did well" one time...I feel too intimidated to play cards...Only tried a few times. I'd rather play cards with friends and family if things are fun and friendly and low-key. I don't like to be around hard-core competition...How about you? I can freeze-up under stress....Racerchick...I hope your bowling alley stays open for awhile and serves great food....We used to have a roller skating rink in our area but it closed-up along with the bowling alley.....J: Thanks for posting too.

I can cope with craps, but I don't like to lose bet after bet. I think you need about at least a hundred dollars to get started in craps. If you just play 20 dollars, you many lose on all the rolls at 5 dollars for each bet.

If you have a hot shooter, and he or she keeps winning, and you bet on the pass line, you can make a lot of money with a little doubling up on your bets.

I really don't like blackjack much, but I know a little about playing it.
